This two-chamber padlock is based on and inspired by a historical lock from the late 1700’s-ealy 1800’s. The shape of the keyhole and key bit have been simplified to be more inline with older locks of this style. Two-chamber padlocks require the key to throw two bolts to fully open, or lock this padlock. This is done by throwing the first bolt, as is customary. Next, the key plunges further into the lock, by turning it to the 3 o’clock position and pushing in, accessing the second chamber. This lock has been given a dark rust brown patina and coated with brown wax for protection.
